Principal's Message

Rancho de la Nacion serves Transitional Kindergarten through sixth grade.

Our ideal future is an innovative learning environment of students, parents, staff and teachers that foster open minds.

We are committed to providing a quality education in a safe environment for students and parents through the collaboration of dedicated staff, students and parents using quality learning tools. We will work together to develop students who become independent, lifelong learners and future productive citizens.

We are a PeaceBuilder school and have created a School Wide Positive Behavior Intervention Support strategic plan. This highlights our further commitment to creating a peaceful and positive school culture.

Common Core State Standards (CCSS) continue to be the foundation of our instruction. Our work in data teams to analyze student performance data, identify strengths/weaknesses, create instructional plans and to identify adult actions will guide the way. This year our data team focus concentrates on math CCSS as we utilize our new Math adoption, "Go Math!"

We value our parents and their contribution to our school community. We will continue to provide opportunities for parents to volunteer at Rancho. Regular meetings, such as "Coffee with the Principal", parent workshops, School Site Council and English Language Advisory promotes their involvement.

National School District's Core Values, "Children First! Whatever it Takes! Relationships Matter!" are deep-rooted in everything we do.

It is our honor to serve the National City community!
